Nigeria vs Zambia.

Nigeria vs Zambia: Why we lost to Super Eagles – Chipolopolo coach, Nyirenda

Ainyiablessing.blogspot.com

Zambia coach, Wedson Nyirenda, has said they lost to Nigeria because the Eagles had superior experience.

The Chipolopolo were beaten 1-0 by the Super Eagles on Saturday and will not be at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

The win sees Nigeria record 13 unassailable points from a possible 15 to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, six points adrift Zambia.

However, Nyirenda insisted he is proud of his team.

“We want to congratulate the people of Nigeria for qualifying for the World Cup. It was not an easy game, just like the first one.

“I think the game was a game of wits, like the first one because the difference was just a goal.

“We played the game dominating Nigeria, but with their experience, they got the needed goal from the half chance they created.

“We had so many injuries in the team, but inspite of that, we accounted for a good game and played very well. This is the best game in the qualifying series.

“Our objective has been to rebuild the team in a very short period of time. We had the nucleus of the team in short time. Very discipline and hardworking after one year,” Nyirenda toldCompletesportsnigeria.com.

Anichebe & DJ Cuppy

Former Super Eagles forward, Victor Anichebe has reacted to claims that he was thrown out of a Dubai hotel room by his estranged girlfriend, Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, also known as DJ Cuppy.

Reports made the rounds on social media some days ago with images showing the footballer moving out of the said Dubai hotel which DJ Cuppy captioned; "When you're cool with your ex", after she allegedly threw him out of their room.

DJ Cuppy who is the daughter of Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, started dating the footballer in November 11, 2016, when the former West Brom player surprised her with a Mercedes G-wagon.

It was gathered that the two love birds called off the relationship during their romatic getaway in Dubai where DJ Cuppy threw the player out of their room.

But reacting, Anichebe wrote on Instagram, “When did I go to Dubai? And does this look like a hotel room? Come on y’all need to do better.”

‘Bank Alert’ was my solo song but I was deceived, says Paul Okoye

 BY Ainyia Blessing

 OCTOBER 3, 2017

Paul Okoye has said ‘Bank Alert’, a 2016 song released by Psquare, was actually his “first solo” effort, and not a recording of his recently defunct group.

Both Paul and Peter appeared in the video for ‘Bank Alert’, a song which heavily sampled Onyeka Onwenu’s evergreen song ‘Iyogogo.

Psquare, comprising of twins Peter and Paul, have been at loggerheads in recent weeks, with the former making public his desire to opt out of the group.

While Peter is in heavily promoting himself as Mr P, Paul took to Twitter on Tuesday to express regrets on being “deceived” into making ‘Bank Alert’ a Psquare song.

He wrote: “I made a serious mistake last year, the day I was shooting my first ever solo music video “bank alert” #regret ,I won’t be deceived dis time.”

A few days ago, the singer had informed his fans that he was “busy working as usual,” adding that nothing about Psquare will be missed on the songs he’s recording.

“Hey fans..pls bear with me,not like am ignoring y’all,am just busy working as usual,” he wrote in Twitter.

“Promise y’all #samesound #samevoice#sametypeofsongs #sameeverything You won’t miss a thing… musically speaking.”

Nigeria is 57

Today a great nation full of good people celebrate her 57 independent

Independence: Agitations for secession out of place – Lalong

Gov Simon Lalong of Plateau has said that Nigerians were better off together, declaring that agitations for secession were “totally out of place”.

“The unity of Nigeria is not negotiable; those agitating for a divided nation should channel their country toward building a strong and virile nation with opportunities for all,” he said on Sunday in Jos.

Lalong spoke at an interdenominational Church Service at ECWA Headquarters Church, Jos organised as part of activities to mark the 57th anniversary of Nigeria Independence.

The governor stated that instead of seeking to secede, Nigerians should explore the advantage of being together so as to make the utmost use of our diversities.

“Rather than secession, I am an advocate of true federalism where diverse interests would better be served.

“Well meaning Nigerians should continue to pray and work for the unity and peace of the country,” he added.

He appreciated Plateau residents’ commitment to peace, and challenged everyone to be his or her brother’s or sister’s keeper.

Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Gado, ECWA President, in his message, tasked Nigerians to purge themselves of vices that had stopped them from enjoying true independence.

He said that corruption, dishonesty, greed and pride were hampering country’s progress, and called for mutual cooperation as interdependence was a key requisite for true independence.

“We need to depend on each other if we are to attain our destiny in the comity of nations,” he said.

Col. Lander Saraso, Operations Officer, Operation Safe Haven charged with maintaining peace on the Plateau, in his speech, assured the people of the outfit’s commitment to safety and peace in the state.

Saraso, however, said that it needed the support and prayers of the people to succeed in that assignment.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that prayers were offered for unity and peace in Plateau and Nigeria. (NAN)
